Anniversary ideas in Panama: a private evening or day on the water

For an anniversary in Panama that feels like time for just the two of you, a private charter from Vista Mar Marina is hard to beat: no shared tour and no schedule but yours. Strong Tower Adventures offers a three-hour sunset cruise aboard Oasis, half- and full-day island trips and a three-day Pearl Islands couples escape, and the team can tailor any of them to the occasion. Tell us what you're celebrating when you message us.

Choose the anniversary that fits you

Some couples want a quiet evening with a view; others want a day of swimming and an empty horizon. Milestone anniversaries, the 25th or the 50th, are often about the whole family. Start with how you'd like the day to feel, then pick the trip.

Anniversary ideas on the water

  1. Sunset, charcuterie and your favorite wine

The Sunset Cruise is about three hours of private cruising aboard Oasis, $400 for up to four guests. Add the sunset charcuterie platter ($40: cheeses, cured meats, crackers, fruit and accompaniments), bring your own wine, and make it dinner on the water with pizza from Benovolentieri ($30 each).

  2. A quiet island morning for two

Farallón Island is a half-day of swimming and snorkeling, about 5 hours dock-to-dock. For a couple, Iron Covenant at $500 is the natural choice, with snorkeling gear and light snacks included.

  3. A long, slow beach day

Taborcillo, the private island near Punta Chame once owned by John Wayne, is a beach day of about 9 hours, from $850. Swim, read, and let the day stretch out; shore time depends on local access and Captain approval.

  4. A couples escape to the Pearl Islands

The Pearl Islands Expedition couples escape is $3,750 for two: 3 days and 2 nights at Hacienda del Mar on Isla San José, with breakfast and a boat lunch every day, snorkeling, fun fishing and private island exploring aboard Oasis. Dinners are not included.

  5. A milestone anniversary with the family

For a 25th or 50th with children and grandchildren, a full day at Otoque Island aboard Oasis ($1,000, up to 10 guests) gives everyone room to swim, snorkel and celebrate together.

How to plan it

  1. Pick evening or day

An evening cruise is easy to fit around work and dinner plans; an island day or the Pearl Islands turns the anniversary into a small trip.

  2. Choose a date and a backup

Panama's dry season generally runs from about mid-December to April. In any month the Captain may adjust or reschedule for weather, so a second date helps.

  3. Tell us the occasion

Message Sam on WhatsApp and say it's your anniversary. Flowers, balloons, custom decorations and other celebration arrangements may be available on request for the Sunset Cruise.

  4. Surprise your partner, if you like

Planning it as a gift? We'll plan it with you and keep it quiet, or you can give a gift certificate and choose the date together.

  5. Send the request

Send the request online once the details are set. Every charter is confirmed personally by the team.
